Rotary
Area School Awards |
The Rotary Club of Aurora and Rotary International actively support excellence in education locally, nationally and internationally as a foundation for effective and ethical accomplishment in our society. Locally, scholarships, contests and awards support Aurora (and Streetsboro?) school system students and teachers. We all find inspiration in stories of achievement, skill, kindness, caring and giving and remember how important heroes are to our lives. Our Schools have heroes of their own. [We would like to take this opportunity to highlight their many feats and show their many successes.] The
Rotary Club of Aurora is proud to honor these high-performing individuals
with the hope that their dedication to excellence will inspire you and
your families. |

Rotary
Scholarships |
Though not as well-known as the Rhodes or Fulbright Scholarships, the Rotary Foundation is the largest private source of scholarships in the world. The Rotary Foundation seeks to promote international understanding through student exchanges: all scholarships are "ambassadorial," which means Rotary seeks candidates who would represent both the organization and their country well. The Foundation emphasizes enthusiasm, eloquence, and other qualities which would make you a good representative of your country over strict academic qualifications. Even if you do not have an outstanding academic record, you still have a chance at receiving this scholarship. |

Four
Way Speech Contest |
Communications between parties at home, at work and even internationally about simple matters or on those that we sharply disagree is an essential part of our daily lives. The Rotary Four Way Test is a communications tool to assist in making communications respectful and constructive on any matter. The Four Way Test Is
it the Truth? Rotary offers a Four Way Test Speech contest to High School Students. The purpose of the speech is to take a position on an ethical problem using the principles of the Four Way Test. The ethical problem to be solved should be something from the speaker's personal experience or general knowledge. Click here for information and rules for the Four Way Test Speech contest |
